Carbon fiber drive shaft

Given the increasing need to localize parts and prevent the country’s foreign exchange resources from being wasted, Tavan Mehvar Company, as the first and only patent holder of this product, has been able to meet the major needs of various industries in the country.

The specific model of these efficient composites is between 3.5 and 5 times that of steel alloys, and as a result, these composite joints can be used at a distance of about twice that of steel joints without any additional bearings. Due to the lower density and higher specific stiffness of these composite materials, it is possible to produce cylinders with larger diameters from them, which is not possible with steel specimens. A 6-meter single-piece drive axle weighs 20-50 kg, depending on its operating conditions; while the equivalent example of this drive axle made of steel would be a two-piece axle weighing 240-130 kg. The elimination of fixed bearings means less maintenance and therefore lower costs and greater reliability.
